the security in charge of monitoring the security cameras dont look out for students, only terrorists. that's why he did not bother to report. if he has to monitor students he need an increment!!!Originally posted by charlize:I am aghast.
A lower secondary student managed to evade detection from the numerous security cameras put up in schools to deter terrorists.
What are kids being taught in schools nowadays?
Terrorists cannot dress up as girl students ah?Originally posted by dragg:the security in charge of monitoring the security cameras dont look out for students, only terrorists. that's why he did not bother to report. if he has to monitor students he need an increment!!!

tell this to the security guard.Originally posted by charlize:Terrorists cannot dress up as girl students ahl?
you seriously can't expect the security guards to do much as they are mostly the elderly.. some schools don't even have security guards and the custodians act as the "security guards".. lmaoOriginally posted by dragg:tell this to the security guard.
the student.Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:My friend daughter ran away from school during recess time and did not go back. The school want to suspend her as this is not the first time. My friend asked the school, when a student go to school and something happen, isn't the school responsible for the child? It happen a few time yet the school does nothing to stop it, now for convenient, they want to suspend the child... for those teacher and principle or people working in MOE, wish to hear your comment ....![]()
I don't think the school should be responsible on the freedom of movement of the child.Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:So from the posts I can only assume everyone agree that the school is not responsible for the missing child when she is sent there lor ....
I think the school did la, or else how my friend come to know, but when they meet i, it is like the last resort... ready to give suspension letter.... so the arguement as to why school never close gate and let student ran off come to mind.. The school did not reply to this queries and I was told another student did the same thing after all these happening !! Can you imagine, thing had happen and yet they do nothing to prevent another happening ....Originally posted by elindra:I don't think the school should be responsible on the freedom of movement of the child.
However, I think the school should be concerned enough that she has been skipping classes and inform the parents of her misbehavior.
Did the school punish the student?
Did the school inform the parents by telephone or in writing about the studet has been skipping school?
Did the school arrange for a meeting with the parents about the problem of the student skipping school?
If they did all of the above and suspend the student as a last resort, I think that is reasonable.
