My Gerfren, her Unreasonable Dad and me

So here goes... Her dad hit her on the head, Give a a huge slap yesterday all becoz she hang out with me. She called me crying. She told me her fren house is renting out a room for 100/month. SHe study in RP.
She told me she wants to move there to stay for the time being. mayb a few months. I surely support her decision. She is 17 and i am 20. The problem is...
If she stay out at her fren's place, can her dad Sue(Dunoe hw to spell) her?
Wil she go to jail if her dad's lawyer win the case?
I heard from my fren a 21 female. Only at 18 can u stay out and 21 can u marry freely. -

Try solve the problem dudez.. i dunno what the reason why her dad dun allow her to hang out with u...either he is too overprotective of her..or u leave a bad impression on him..
But by supporting her to run away from home..i believe u will be making the thing worse..

if her dad is abusing her, she can actually put out a restraining order on him
on the other hand, if it's just normal hanging out and studying together, going to the movies and stuff.. maybe her dad's a nutcase still living in the 16th century?
all in all, it's a tough thing.. but try to persuade her NOT to move out.. as someone has said, it'll only aggravate the situation.. and you might be beaten up by her dad along with her.. and with that, it's going to escalate...
frankly, it's a bad situation... what about talking to her mom? -

From wat i noe , mus be 18 or above to have own freedom. Other than that parents can control u.Anway , not wise to support her from leaving home due to many reasons . Mind telling us why her father dun like seeing u all hang out??? -
i guess this is more to an abusing dad...lyk The Bear said...try to get her a restraining order...lyk e name...restrain her dad from doing her more physical harm.
and also...try to noe if her mom is gettin such stuffs too...is yes....u hab to do smth eh.

simple.. the police can order him never to do certain things again.. like for some, it's never to go within 20m of the person...
this is only done if there is a history of violence or abuse...
if he violates the order, he's going straight to jail..
and if everyone is scared, he's going to do as he please no matter..

it best you tok to her father and ask why he dont allow her to be with you . Maybe his father think that she is still too young to go into r/s and jus wan her to concentrate on her studies . But if things reali turn out to be worst, seek for someone help. It not advisable for you to support her to leave home , wat happen if his dad report to police saying you ask ur gf to leave the house .. etc.. you will get into trouble.

the dad can lodge a police report if she is 17 years old. if she is 18 years old , he also can lodge a police report for missing person.

There is too little facts to support the gal leaving home or making a police report.
The gal herself should go to a Family Service Centre (FSC) to seek advice. We are outsiders after all. Talk is cheap. It is the action that cost the person (not money, but about their life later) -

after that, you can unofficially go out with her, etc. until maybe a few years later when the old man has cooled down den you plan your next step?
i don't know how well or even she can convince her dad but its better than screwing up her whole family ties. besides, if you are serious, a few years will pass by quickly. -
