TNP today - Idolising Hitler

Read today's TNP about some local kids who idolise Hitler...
What the heck are those kids thinking?!?!?! They're idolising a two-legged monster who created the worst war in the hostory of mankind which took the lives of 56 million people! This beast is the embodiment of pure evil, and they're idolising him?
Either those kids are really, really ignorant or really, really brash. It may not be our right to tell others who they can idolise, but to idolise evil is completely wrong. -

i have a fren who idolise hitler also.. she claimed that the allied are ppl who are the bad ones..
she felt that the allied are righteous.. and those who are righteous are the bad ones.. and feel hitler is the good one..
seriously.. i feel both allied n hitler.. or japanese during that time.. or italy.. all are wrong.. cos war itself is a wrong -

Normally it's a passing phase, and it's nothing malicious. -

Most young adults idolise role models because they appeal to them as a person with certain qualities which they lack. Though i hardly think Hitler fits the bill, the atrocities attributed to him will only dawn on these youngsters when they come of age. I seriously doubt if they have read any autobiography on him or the henious crimes against humanity which he committed (of course he had his henchmen to take part blame in this madness)
One thing i do agree was that Hitler was charismatic, an opportunitist, a bold and very convincing speaker coupled with a strategical brilliance despite his lack of military qualifications.
Few will realise that the german concept of Blitzkrieg was brought forward by generals like erwin rommel, albert kessering and erich von manstein but was scoffed by various chief of staffs including alfred jodl and wilhelm keitel. Only Hitler had the vision to recognise such concepts as the new winning strategy and bring forth new doctrines and combat tactics based on such theories. Speed, efficiency and aggressiveness became the new trademarks of a modern german war machine.
Only the madness within reflected his sociopathic belligerence against the jews, gypsies and others he considered sub-human and offensive to a reich which he considered the new world order; a decendent of the aryan race he believed was the destiny of the german people.
Misguided yes, but brilliant as well. Kids must know what to look up to and not mistakenly take the whole pie and eat it.
Or maybe these kids simply lack one testicle? -

what is wrong with idolising hitler.. or even satan.. its still idolise.. can you define what is right and what is wrong? right and wrong is indefinite. it is up to you to choose what is right and what is wrong.. in the first place.. is there right and wrong? right and wrong has been derived by humans.. and humans are not perfect. how do you know the god that the christians speak of are the righteous god. how do you even know there is a god. there are so many questions that cannot be answered.. in this is possibly another one of them. i dont think we can stop the people from idolising who they idolise

and the thing most people dont know is that hitler himself was jewish. he was born a son of an austrian jewish cobbler if im not wrong. and hitler wasnt exactly the most intellegent person on the planet, he was just plainly charasmatic. the fact that germany scored so many victories was due to its brilliant commanders such as rommel, donitz etc... in fact hitler was the one that caused to much screw ups resulting in germany's defeat eg. invasion of the soviet union. i hate it when ignoramuses associate everything germany during ww2 with nazis, the nazis were only a handful of idiots the rest of german army was pretty much neutral men fighting for their country under orders from the government. -

we also tend to forget that hitler actually made germany stronger. he unified the people and did much to improve the country's situation eg. construction of autobahns which are still used today, launching the volkswagen beetle to allow more people to own cars

The total civillian death toll of WWII is 57 million. I did not just count the Holocaust. Adding military deaths, the toll rises to 80 million. In any case, why are we arguing over the death toll? The number of people he killed only tells us exactly how inhuman he was. In the words of another similar beast who killed 20 million of his own people:

The bottom line is, Hitler is evil, and idolising him is wrong. Yes, he was charismatic and shrewd, and he did modernise Germany and took it out of the doldrums it was in. However, he took millions of innocent lives, and if that is not evil, I don't want to know what is. -
but you have to give to him, such an orator. a lance-corporal in word war i, an austrian. eventually the chancellor of germany. really beyond imagination how he convinced them to war.

i dont see how any of the hitler ideals are relevant to sg society. If they want to take sides over the war, someone should remind them that its over. Unless the young kids were themselves "aryan" and "white", hitler would prob kill them at a glance. -

seriously, i do idolise him but obviously condemn his actions. if u guys have study or read up on him, u realise he's indeed a great man. nonetheless, if u guys think that u live a good life now, ya, he's one of the reason why.
