im not sure whether there are changes to manufacturer parts onot but i saw on the box......written bery big "Made In China"Originally posted by findingnewidea:IBM sold its PC business to China's Lenovo. Due to marketing consideration, Lenovo doesn't put its name to Thinkpad yet.
I saw lots of Thinkpad advertisements, on newspapers, in PC fair, but without Lenovo brand name at all.
Would you still buy Thinkpad? Given the fact that this brand has been sold by IBM to a China PC maker Lenovo??
I think probably no at the moment. They surely have some left over stock to clear. Nobody is certain in the future. They might move the production out from US for cost reason.Originally posted by FireIce:im not sure whether there are changes to manufacturer parts onot but i saw on the box......written bery big "Made In China"
