A computers with two network cards - adv pls

  I am working in a small company with no internet connections (I think). But yesterday, I saw a particular computer has : -
  
  - two network cards
  - two network connections at the system icons.
  - this computer being declared as brand new, not being used by any body
  before but it showed signs that it has being used before.
  
  This company used to have two bosses but has been split into two recently. It is due to a betrayal of one of them.
  
  Should I report my findings to my boss (he is my brother-in-law)?
  Is it strange for a computer to have two network cards, especially in such a small company?
