Monitor Lizard in Singapore

  Actually i saw this like 3 months ago, but still i would like to tell you guys about this.
  One day, I was on the woodlands expressway heading towards the east in a bus, I past by a reservoir-like area and my eyes caught sight of something crawling out of a huge sewage pipe. At first I thought that it's a crocodile of some sort, however on closer look, i realized that it's a huge monitor lizard... looks something like a komodo dragon(i know they do not exist in Sinagpore...but still), I nver knew there were monitor lizards in Singapore, I wonder if it is dangerous...

  monitor lizards r commonly found in the forests n jungles of singapore. even in sentosa. they do not attack unless provoked.

  a few months ago i saw a huge monitor lizard on a road at yishun there... it was at the centre of the road, holding up the whole traffic....

  They have been around in Singapore even before Sir Stamford Raffles, some even say Sang Nila Utama.

  at the old abandoned RIFLE RANGE at rifle range road (near bt timah hill) there..
  
  i live here mahhs.. so go hiking with my dad..once i saw it too xP

  Wow, now that's real dangerous, don't walk your dog or bring your kids there. Who knows, they may get swallowed up...choy!

  I saw them a few times at East Coast beach-they are pretty timid creatures who would run away at the sight of people.

  At the Bukit panjang Park there's also about 2 monitor lizards that frequent the area. Always seen many times over there roaming the park freely.

  haha.. there was a moniter lizard behind my backyard once, and snakes have been found too, luckily there is a fence that separates my backyard from the grassy areas.

  Use to see them when jogging in Macritchie, especially on hotter noon time, range fr small to LARGE sizes.

  what the Fuck you lamer, monitor lizards are damn common in SIngapore, I saw dunno how many times before.
  
  now have u seen an ant that is more than an inch long? I've seen one in Bukit timah, damn freaky.

  i once see one at mandai road ..sitting on a bench at the bus stop ... I think they are always around this kind of place.
