How u guys learn to play guitar?

im a beginner.. just started learning. veri jia lart.. keep touching the other chord accidentally den sound kns.. lol.
i wonder how the gd guitarist actually started..
any tips?

tips.. trim ur fingernails.. dont grow nails as it will be very hard for u to play.. -

after some practices.. im able to switch chords faster.. like say G! then i must quickly press and strum.. in this way, im able to adapt to guitar rather fast..
like, my fingers are already quite season.. no longer haf the trouble of resting from the pain..
also.. my finger reflexes gets better.. the ability and efficiency is so much better...
from then on.. if u feel bored.. u learn songs off tabs.. from website la..
im quite ambitious.. i learn difficult songs from some metal band.. that's y im able to improve alot over a short period of time.. -

its ok to make mistakes...in fact u will learn from it. -
pick a song that you like and has easy chords, and learn to play that song.
how to switch chords faster? practice practice practice.
last time i would wake up and play the guitar, play till my fingers got sore. then i would play once i felt that i could pick it up again. i would play day till night.
of course back then i was having my school holidays lah. -
just practice lots. i just started learning a few weeks back...i can switch chords rather well now. i just have problems with the barre chords. i can't seem to get more than one string per finger. i can't even get F right...i sub F7 for it...

the sides of your fingers are 'harder' then pressing it down flat.
so i would press my index finger down at an angle so all the strings would be depressed, instead of pressing it flat and getting the muted string sound. -

he just ask me to do this chord progression - C Am F G7 (using shortcut F) until i can change chords smoothly then he taught be the rest of the chords or picked up from a chord book.
took me a week of 1 hour strumming per day to even change from C to G7 smoothly! -
Same here... Start out slowly by learning some chords here. When you think your fingers are much more seasoned then go on and try out some tabs.
And dude, it will take time. So don't give up! -

I started with G,C and F. Get the chord from the internet. It's very easy, just type in "Guitar chords" or "basic guitar chords".
Example: G chord ------------ the numbers=the fret you put ur finger on
E----3--- B-------
G--------
D--------
A----2---
E---3----
Strum and hold the chord.. make sure you get a clear sound from each string.. Try pressing a little harder if you can't get the sound.
After you can remember this chord learn another maybe a C.. do the same thing and when you can remember this chord try swtich between the 2 chords. Then try the F chord.
Once you learn the 3 chords you can play a song. -
play bar chords all the way and ur hand will be hurting like hell.

shit im stucked now.. dunno how to move on to the next part.. only learnt to plae a dumb song call FishTank and QingTian front part w/o strum.. arghh i dunno how to refer to tabs!
