Dr Vivian Balahkrisnan??the correct name?/ saw it and stopped at Buangkok Station to see the condition of the station. He said that the station had lights on but no air-con and saw it from outside as the gate was close. But during the dialouge session in Punggol South got people asked him about the Buangkok thing and he say and say about it. But one point he said that if Buangkok was opened the traffic situation at CTE will not be so full as more people will use the station

The reason why they do not want to open the BK station is to cut cost.
They have already manage to increase the fares without any improvement of service.
Why would the bus company open the BK station to incur additional cost and cut into the existing huge profit ?
So, the "dialogue" between the MP and minister is just a wayang show.
The BK station will ONLY be OPENED when the surrounding flats are built.
In the 1st place, the resident have targeted the wrong person to complain.
The minister have already MENTIONED another minister's name.
So, it is not his business to get involved. -

It is good that some form of wake-up call has been forwarded to the govt.
They have seemed to have dragged their feet over promises made during election. They promised residents of Potong Pasir that so long as they got a >45% mandate, win or lose, they would provide upgrading services.
Guess what? I still see the same dilapitated HDB flats, run-down lifts, nothing is done to provide additional clean-up and support, the carparks still stink of garbage from the nearby rubbish dump. The place is as filthy as ever.
No paint job to improve the image at least....next to nothing at all.
Chiam See Tong lobbied in parliment for a lift landing at every floor for his constituents, and his agruments were brushed aside by some upstart PAP member whose name i don't even bother to remember, buried under a heap of ecomonic figures and costs to which the public cannot substantiate.
Buangkok was just another case of poor planning, poor timing. Another LTA relapse perhaps?
It seems the govt has forgotten that they serve living breathing ppl nowadays, not the blind sheep of the past. -

What is the point of building the Buangkok station and incurring running expenses if there are no plans to open it anytime soon? This will only put pressure on the subway operator to raise fares & cover the extra cost. LTA really thinks with their butts and not their brain.

For all those people who got "bought" into the upgrading promises... can now see clearly finally the empty promises all this while.
LTA made many mistakes during Ma's time but he's now moving on to manage HDB ... so what do we expect next - privatised HDB -costing us more and more to rent an even smaller unit from govt? With LTA and all the almost collasping buildings at beach road, nicoll highway, circle line (redundant line anyways), hoe kee ... more and more ERP with loonger and longer "peak" hours and so much road construction that never seem to end ..
But who dare to point the finger?
There's 2 person I really really pray and pray for my wish to come true in that govt corporation (yes its a corporation isn't it) ... -
why is buangkok area not populated enuf to support the threshold of the mrt station?
the nearest block of flats is some 300-400m away.....and sparsely occupied....serviced by LRT to Sengkang MRT Station -
