Yes that's what he said. He said his reason was to hear somebody answer his questions first, before he says it out. But actually it's ok....just say it....since I doubt we are that knowledgable anyways to answer it.

Noah was told by God to prepare a Ship as there is going to be a flood. The intention is to punish as we disobey God's words. The flood will separate all of us.......... aiya this is... aiya.
But look at the world as it is now, are we better of or worse of after the Big flood? -
If i am not wrong, incest was not a sin during noah's time. Siblings were often married to siblings since the earth was still under populated. After a while, it was stated the rules was changed. Men also began to live shorter lives, reduced to 120!

If there were only Adam and Eve at that time, they were quite lonely!!!! This is not healthy for them too!!!! If even we come from Adam and Eve, we dont share the same DNA!!!! -
God asked Noah to build an ark, because he is going to bring his judgement upon the world through a flood. and since Noah and his family is the only Godly people in the world, God decided to save them.
in other cases, God also brought calamity on people who were terribly sinful, like the story of Sodom and Gormora (cant spell it). God sent fire from heaven and destroyed the two cities that were indulging in homosexual activities.
in Noah's time, there is no such thing as incest. incest is a relatively mordern concept. -

Yeah that's right... there were sinful acts everywhere during that time and since God hated sin so much, he decided to destroy what He has so created since the beginning...
In another part and time, we know of Abraham and God discussing over the issue and Abraham was bargaining with the Lord whether would He save the town if there were certain number of people who obeys Him and fears Him, and God said yes...
So that is why Noah and his family were saved at that time...
