what is the difference between china CD and singapore CD?

when i go to shop CDs, i realized that there are 2 version of the very same album.
one is from china (which states that it's not supposed to be sold out of china), one from Singapore.
China version costs around $4-5.
Singapore version costs around $17-19.
so, why should we pay more for singpaore version? -
got more stuffs of the singer like cd, dvd, etc

China CD is bad in sound quality, bought it before and sound a bit different from the original singer. Helps the cd shop earn money only. Most importantly, the sales record is not recorded in RIAS.
Singapore CD is better in sound quality, imported from the right channel. Sales record is recorded and it helps the music industry. Support originals!!!

Those paralled import from China CD sounds as good as the SG or any orginal source. If you bought one before, you can how blardi good the quality of the inner sleeves is. Even the best pirated ones gotta stand one corner.
BUT, the oni complaint I knew is that... the CD itself is not of a durable material. I dun hv any complain myself. Anyway, I bought such CD recently... rip into mp3 and never play it since. -

what is RIAS?
i was thinking it's data. and the data is the same compared to china version and singapore version.... -
it is the same as with Indian Cds. 1 says "not for sale outside of India"
another is singapore distributor. Quality I think sometimes the original country version is inferior. -
no difference 1 , but sometimes cut short 1 song .
and you cannot bring the china version in for autograph . -

LOL. Most of the time the content is EXACTLY the same. But China bigger country so the givernment request for local production of the CD. USA also la. A xbox game, legal versions, cost US29 in States, S$89 in Singapore and RMB49 in China. All same, just different global business standards. Blame it on Singapore no able to produce anything on its own... -

got diff lah... most of all... the colour of the cover is diff liao ... china one like the printer not enough ink and got so bleeched...
The quality definetly lousy lah...
Buy SG one to boost the sale records in RIAS and so the respective singer would take SG market more seriously and benefit the fans.

how does one get a "bad sound quality" CD if the thing is digital?
anyway, the PRC ones are probably pirated...
seriously... the DVDs are being sold here ridiculously cheap as DVD9 which is pirated stuff...
do you think for one moment the fellas like the RIAA will trust PRC with intellectual property? -
I don't think so... No comments about durability of CD though.. Like Baseline suggested, you can just rip it off as MP3... I hardly listen directly to CDs these days too....
