Questions about Contacts Lens

I'm thinking of switching over but I have some questions before I really go make a pair
1) Can you wear Contacts if you have shaky hands? I mean, You may end up sticking your finger into the eye.
2) And how do you know when to stop moving your finger in because the lens already touched the pupils?
3) What if the Lens doesn't cover the Pupils correctly
4) When wearing Contacts, Is it okay to close your eyes for a few minutes but not sleeping.
5) How exactly do you retrieve it from your eyes? I know its using your finger and gently touch.

1. How shaky can your hand be...
You got parkinson disease meh...
2. When the len came into contact with the eye ball... and due to wetness... the len will "automatically stick" to the eye ball...
3. Just blink your eye or look downwards or upwards... with your head not moving... which means only the eyeball moves...
4. Yes. You can...
5. Very difficult to express it in words.. go and see your optical shop and they will teach you how to wear and remove it...

from specs to contacts u mean, not switchin brands right...
actually go ask ur optician. he/she will teach u.... -

i spend long time wearing my lens.. scared tis scrared tt.. but now i'm ok..

just go optician.. they'll teach u how to wear/take out when u buy your contacts

2)Use your finger put the contact len into the eyes lor. When you know feel that your eyes is moving and the contact len is not moving, that's the point you'll know that the lens already touched the cornea.
3)Don't worry, as long as the Contact lens is in your eyes, the lens will cover the whole hemisphere.
4) Ya it's ok
5) gentle ly pinch your contact lens lor. -
try lasik...its just a laser beam...

1) because there will be some solution on the lens still when you take out from your lens container, your lens will sit on your finger. so the point is to keep your eyes from closing as a natural reflex... i personally use my left index to hold up my upper eyelid, and left middle finger to hold down bottom of eye and shove the lens in.Originally posted by Agenda:I'm thinking of switching over but I have some questions before I really go make a pair

2) the moment your fingertips touch your eyeball you should retract your finger already. the lens should place itself.
3) if i realised it didnt sit properly and had rolled to the back of my eyelid, i usually will close my eyes and massage eyelid. if it is just slightly misaligned, will roll my eyes. haha.
4) close a few minutes? can la. a few hours actually also nevermind one, just not very good. i sleep 40mins on bus to and from work, never had a problem.
5) depending whether you are using hard lens or soft lens. if hard lens you have to 'blink' it out (me softlens user, so not 100% sure). if soft lens, very easy once you get over the fear... use left hand keep your eye open, right thumb and index finger pinch out the lens.
when you are really used to it, you can take out using one hand... middle finger hold down bottom of eye, thumb and finger gouge eye. -
Me last time also very scared to wear contacts coz e thought of touching my eyeball horrifies me
But ever since i working part time, i sibei dulan coz my glasses keep sliding down as i sweat alot
Further more i dun look nice in glasses somemore
So finally wear my 1st contacts
Spend ard an hr in the shop trying to put them in~ and take them out
Put in is the hardest. Coz the 1st week hor i spend ard half an hr just trying to put them in
Slowy, starts to get used to it and become faster, but sometimes still have bad eye day where cannot put in.
Take out very simple, use Thumb and index finger and prick it out gently.
But if wear too much i tink can make ur eyes very tired. Sometimes i feel very sad coz my eyes are like so tired~ dunno got link anot
Try nt to slp ba~ i dare nt slp~ maybe close for a little while can
Carry the contact lens eyedrop whereever u go lor
My contact bloody expensive. One box is 35 dollars coz i got SHAN GUAN -

Thou my eyes is small, i took only like 5 mins ?
The first time i wore it, i keep feeling that there is smth inside. But ard 2 or 3 days later, you feel nothing.
When i first try, the feeling of able to see things without a spec is wonderful. It's like you just had a laser surgery.
Don't worry, it dont hurt. Just be patient if you got shaky hand. I also got shaky hand. When u try to wear it at your house, add a few drop of your solution to the contact lens, so it can stick to your eye fast. -

i dont think contact lenses are good for the eyes... and most eye doctors dont wear contacts themselves.

1) how shaky can ur hands be? earthquake? u'll need ard 2wks to be fully confident on wearing contacts.
2) when abt 50% of the lens surface stick to ur eyeball oredi? den let the lenses do the rest of the sticking by blinking ur eyes, rotate eyeballs ard.
3) blink a few times and it'll centralise itself.
4) can.
5) gently touch, gently pinching ur lenses ONLY. den u pull it away frm ur eyeball. -
