  i've got this prescribed med from polyclinic that is 10mg per tab... the hospital prescribed 2 weeks worth of 25mg per tab one... i thot same medicine, so din get 2 weeks presciption from the hospital...
  so can i take 2 tabs of the 10mg one and it will be considered 20mg? can we count like this when it's medicine?

  Dosage is different, but it cannot be considered as a multiplication by taking two as one... It's best to consult your doctor before anything... Clarify why is there is need for an increased and stronger medicinal dosage of the pill prescribed...

  go according to the prescription and not by ur own logic...dun play play wif ur health.

  like that means it's an under dose.. think u better see the doc.. or else u will take a longer time to recover..

  what's the name of the drug? It may not be the same medication. Go back to the polyclinic to make sure...

  As long as it is the same medicine.. The dosage u can tak 2 tab of 10mg to subsitute 20mg per tab..
  
  Sometimes.. It is coz different pharmacy has different stocks, differs in the dosage form..
  
  It could also be the doc decides to wind down the dosage? Beta reconfirm & not overdose urself!

  If its exactly the same medication and the amount of the active ingredients are exactly the same, you can do that. Go to a pharmacist if u are unsure.

  Medication works by the MG of the drugs, so probably, it should be workable.
  
  BUT, for your own safety, please CONSULT a DOCTOR to clarify your doubts first. There might be a need to either reduce / increase your dosage and the active contents might differ.

  yah... i've checked with the pharmacist and it is better to take the lower dosage one if it is useful...
  last nite took the higher dosage med and can't fall asleep even thou it was supposed to cause drowsiness...

  It happens to me before. Even when the medication is suppose to be drowsy, I became hyper after that. The effects varies for me.
