Tio Shoot Down By Civil Defence

today received letter from mindef saying i going to Singapore Civil Defence on 12th sep. But problem is i want go tekong !! i send mindef a email saying that i want to go army instead of civil defence.
then they reply me
" With regards to unit posting, currently, it is not possible for changing of
unit. However, you may approach your unit commander when you enlisted and
request for the changes."
anione can help ?? got ani idea to contribute ? dont bullshit -

work 2 days off 1 day NS lifestyle. The only siong vocation i heard about CD is the firefighter nia. other than that all kinda lobo compared to SAF.
as for tread starter. i'll give u a solution if u wana go into SAF so badly.
If u think SAF interests u alot, then jolly well go sign 10 yrs ( minimum duration if i'm not wrong ). Confirm get u out of CD. but u suffer for the next 5-6 yrs and start to slack in the following 2-3 yrs and officially slack on ur last yr.
My advice to u is to enjoy the 2 yrs in CD. its definately more enjoyable than seeing trees and soil almost every week. -
What is wrong with SCDF?
Anyway, no chance for you to be revocate.

If I received that letter from SCDF 4 years ago, I would have probably screamed in delight...I love firefighting but too bad got enlisted into army and have since ORD but still got another 10 years of ICT seeing the jungles and what not..sucks man..

*Ahem* I don't regret being in the army and I learnt many good things in there like how to blow the living #$@@ out of stuff.
But in the SCDF you see REAL things and do things for REAL. For us our job only matters when it all hits the fan. -
