What kind of nonsence is that for a Infantry officer to propose marriage to his girlfriend in National Stadium?
You are wearing an army No 4 uniform, commisioned by Mr. President. Although, you are involved in helping out in the dance display for National Day, that does not give you an extra priviledge to display your marriage proposal and telecast over the big screens in the National Stadium.
As an officer, you should lead your man with your good leadership, be an example for your man.
What kind of message are you sending to your man? You are kissing your girlfriend in public with your CPT rank.
Wheather is it intentionary to be telecast over the television news or strait times, I feel that you have no respect for National Day. People are putting efforts into making a national day a successful one.
Did you put in effort in making the national day a successful one? Would you be that confident that your GF would not reject you without keep thinking that you fail?
SAF should do something on this!

Yes. I agree that he has emotions , want to be romantic to his GF.
But why must he do it at National Stadium? Why cant he do this in Suntec Fountain of Wealth? It is such a popular spot for marriage proposals and sweet messages.
How did he lobbied the other SAF officer or Person-in-charge for preparing his marriage proposals to be telecast over the big screens?
Given a Man, do you think he has a good chance to do this public proposal. If I am the officer in charge, I would turn him away.
Or given any Tom, dick and harry in the spectator seats , I would turn him away too.
Do it in Suntec please, because you are representing SAF, not as an idividual!
This is a purely taking an advantage with the organisers for National Day as an SAF Commissioned officer.

Get a life dude. Yes u can't kiss or hold hands in SAF uniform but so? If ur not happy, so be it. Perhaps many others would share the same sentiment as you. Still, it doesn't justify your petty whinings here.

SAF should do something on this!I second that, balantly displaying of affection with his gf on national tv and on national day is an insult to our nation's birthday. That's an abuse of national tv and exploitations of money. He thinks he can do whatever he wants with his money...then he is so wrong, cos everyone condemned his actions. Pity those poor viewers who have to force to see that unexpected drama on tv.
I seriously questioning the lack of common sense in whoever assisted in staging this proposal drama. It's an insult to the nation. They should be punished along with those who actually agreed and assisted in this act. Truely it's time for Singaporeans to realise that MONEY ISN'T EVERYTHING.
Something should be done to put a stopper on all these Singaporean's nonsense mentality and straighten them up and bring them back to the real world...before someone begin to hold weddings at the Istana!
