Man robs woman in front of police

  SINGAPORE : A man has been arrested for robbing a woman with a penknife in front of Hwa Chong Institution at Bukit Timah Road.
  
  Police officers arrested the 38-year-old man on Saturday while on patrol.
  
  Around 8:30pm that evening, the officers noticed a woman walking on a pavement beside a row of bushes.
  
  As soon as she passed by, police saw the culprit, who was hiding in the bushes, jump out.
  
  The man held a penknife to her throat and took S$10 in cash from her.
  
  But he didn't get far as the officers pounced on him and retrieved the money and the penknife.
  
  The suspect will be charged with armed robbery. - CNA /ct
