How long does it take for U peeps to find a job?

I'd rather hire an Indian or Chinese national....get the same output if not more for a fraction of the price man...its all about business costs....

if you dun mind a lower salary, very fast find job. plenty of lowly paid jobs around -
I know some of my friends who are grads working in Service line la, Hawkers la and in retailing. Very hard to find jobs for grad, so they work temp lor, must bring money home ma..

The main thing is to get a job first. Doesn't matter if the starting salary is lesser. One can easily work his way up and get more pay eventually.

It doesn't matter the salary falls below my expected range by a bit as long as it is a good firm, gd career prospect and good learning ground.
I mean if u are a freshie and having no experience to speak of, it maybe a bit unreasonable to demand high pay ya.
What U deserved to have is almost equivalent to what U can contribute to the firm ya..
But shouldn't be in too much a hurry to get a job because of the pressure to be hired asap.
Cos don't want to waste precious time in doing something we not interested in nor in a lousy job that we can learn nothing from it. U know, the temp jobs these days, they are paying $6/ hr for university graduates?! OMG! -
When I first started working, the economy just collasped and it was the employers' market. Starting pay then was $1700 which was good as I had friends getting offered $1400 for the same job. It took me about 2 months to find a job and I was being picky and I don't think I even sent out 20 resumes. Btw, my job is in marketing and that was like about 5 years ago.
My brother just graduated not long ago in electrical engineering. It took him like 5 months to get a job but his starting pay is $2,200 exclusive of over-time pay. However he sent out over 100 resumes.
I guess it depends on your luck seriously. -

Initially beri enthusiastic about going online to search for job opportunities everyday.
Then a month later, the drive went down cos I sent many resume but seldom get any replies. At least, those I want didn't respond. Esp. the banks neber reply one.
I think I not beri picky, at least that's what i think.
I not open to those contact centre, those telemarketing, cold calling, sales, roadshow, customer service niah la.. Hahaha...
No like to entertain people everyday ya. -

I have to tell you admin and HR pay starting pay really sucks
If you want money, be in sales
I dunno, maybe you should review your resume presentation etc
