i seldom genna cos i look boyish, i think they always target adults... but when suay suay genna, I tell them i still studying post-grad and not working, and they let me go... wheee... it's like "get out of prison free" card from monopoly. -
I think we just need to learn how to say "No, thank you" without feeling pai seh. No need to lie or make up story.
Just tell them nicely that you dont wish to be disturb.
If they continue to ask question or beg you to fill survey.... continue to say "No, thank you". They will know you are seriously "Not interested".
Let be gracious to them. -
one time I got back from work and a chirpy young agent came up to me to do a survey. When I realise hes an insurance agent I told him I'm also an agent.
He maintain his composure, smile and replied, "You sure or not? don't look like one leh?"
Me: got look one meh? aiyo cant talk liao I got an appointment with my client hor bye! good luck with your "prospecting".

i wear poor poor lokok lokok they wun bother..
usually i juz say no thanks and wave them away. pester more, ill raise my voice and repeat. -
i will just tell them to F@#k off, no lar joking only, normally i will just show them the middle finger

Agent approach me...yak yak yak... me keep walking...
First reply i would normally say 'No Thanks.'
Keep pestering more yakking... i would say ' Pls stop bugging me'
very persistent following... i stop turn around 'Which part of NO you didn't understand?'
on some really bad days 'If you keep on following, i can get some polices to listen to some of your plans. You want that?'
