The Lucifer Code. Sounds like a rip off of the Davinci Code, but i tell you the plot twists are ASTOUNDING. And this is coming from some one who has read more thrillers than u can shake a stick at.

My fave authors are Ben Elton, Irvine Welsh, Ryu Murakami (the way he writes about unrequitted love will really upset you. And i'm a guy) and of course Tom Clancy, James Patterson and Jack Higgins. -
look out for The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher , the Nightside Series by Simon R Green and the Anita Blake Series by Laurell K Hamilton

Good Novels i've come across are death of an emperor by Conn Iggulden
Neil Gaiman also writes twisted stories that are really good -
after reading the book, it makes you more aware of life and it's surroundings. it's a great book to read

For light reading, try Robert Rankin's 'The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the apocalypse', followed by 'The Toyminator'.

For good old spy novel, try 'The Spy who came in from the cold' by John le carre.
Quite short but very good.
Dun care much about his other books though! -
Yes, neil gaimen writes rather good books too.
Try 'Neverwhere' and 'Stardust' for fantasy with a difference.
'American Gods' and 'Anantsi....-seomthing-' for novels about Gods living amongst us. -
If you're into military books, I really liked 'Rules of Engagement: A life in Conflict' by Lt Col Tim Collins, CO 1 Royal Irish Regiment.
It details his time in the British Army from the time of Op Barras (where SAS and Parachute regiment soldiers rescued capture british soldiers from Guerillas in Sierra Leone) to his resignation after having led his Battalion over the border from Kuwait into Iraq. A very good read. -
