I'm wondering, what jobs in what type of companies enable me to travel??
Other than stewardessing, being tour agents and such??

Depending on your discipline.....
You probably need to start looking for companies with regional presence. MNCs are a good start. Next will be the position..... typically such companies have regional marketing, sales and technical support.
Some travelling jobs are quite mundane - they only focus on one or two cities/countries. Others are limited region eg. South East Asia only.
I have travelled to most parts of Asia liao.
... of course there is still the air stewardess job... -
1. What's your preferred industry? your major?
2. Travelling for the sake of travelling, be an adventurer and get sponsors.
3. PA to a big time boss who requires travelling assistant - remotely avbl.
4. Work on a cruise ship and aim for cruise director position.
5. Work in a manufacturing company with regional/international reach in sales, marketing or business development.
6. Take up teaching position available in the different countries.
7. Work in Singapore Tourism Board - Intentional
8. Place your resume in the intenational recruiting agencies stating your choice.
9. Take up international nursing.
10. Be a travel journalist.
11. Dream and be imaginative in your options for jobs available or even start your own biz

i dun believe an nus undergrad has such an interesting command of english.
1) A job does not "enable" you to travel. Passport & money that buys the airplane/cruise ticket will enable you to travel
2) Nus often hosts career fairs for their students. Go check them out if you are not sure of what you want
3) I believe your question should have been "What kind of jobs would provide me with opportunities to travel overseas"
4) The answer to your question "Tai Tai" -
i am working in the MNC (a US company), travel at least once or twice per month, most of time going to US, taiwan and china. I am already tired of it...

its actually the scenerio of ppl in it wants out, and ppl outside wants in. For those you who are travelling becos of work, you feel sick becos you are always flying, you miss your family, ur loved ones, life is hectic, always rush.
for us not travelling frequently, envy being to take plane, leave the country etc. Actually travelling is fun but travelling for business is not. heres why:
a. travelling for business = you are squeezed for time, there is no such thing like spend 5 days touring a particular city. You are whizzed off to your meeting or country office almost immediately after you landed. Unless of course your position is in senior management, then maybe you can afford to jalan jalan abit. Otherwise as a manager or executive, you will not have the luxury.
b. your schedule in the country is always packed with meetings, meetings and meetings. Your lunch is probably a business lunch and dinner is probably entertainment. You wine and dine probably with someone you will not want to entertain / you are busy fending off toastings or thinking of something to talk to your partners when there is really nothing much to talk of. The only free time for you to shop is probably near midnight or at DFS at the airport before you catch your flight home.
c. the places you visit are in far fetched etches of the country - not those glam places that you go on leisure. If you are lucky to go those big cities (eg: Hong Kong / Tokyo) you are tied down with meetings.
d. you are dressed in business attire - you are there to talk business not play golf, so unless you have a fetish of wearing tie & smartly dressed and yet enjoy every living minute of it...you probably dread it.
e. bcos of the fact that you're travelling on company's expense, your activities are scrutinised. Your schedule and period of stay there is expected to be prudent and "just-in-time", so its really difficult to pad-in excess days for leisure (unless of course, due to the flight available)
f. some of us have to prepare travel report / status report after each travel
g. can you imagine taking a long flight and you have seen the movies like three times over?
Now the only good thing about business travel is: you clock up travel miles very fast (unless your company states travel on budget airlines only). And for some companies you can save up the travelling allowance.... -

Anyway, like what most of the forumites have posted, you need to work in an International or Global Company.
Likely jobs are:
- Sales & Marketing - Especially if they have overseas customer database
- Business Development - For overseas market
- International Franchising
- Engineering posts which require you to go overseas for training
- Purchasing (Yes, a purchaser actually have pretty good chances of going overseas, then again it depends on the product you are dealing with) -
