Suiciders need to learn some basic courtesy as well... I think next time they should teach this in Moral Education in primary schools.... Committing suicide is a personal matter... If you decide to end your own life, by all means end it, but don't involve other people in the process... Why do you want to meddle with the public transport? There are so many other choices... You can jump off the building, slash your own wrist, pop down 34857394857923 panadols etc etc... All these methods of comitting suicide are known to many and they do not involve other people... Sometimes I really think that Singaporeans are blind trend-followers.... Even commit suicide also must follow trend... Sigh...

i very du lan with people who think that their being a little bit late is more important than a human life lost..
i very du lan that singaporeans seem to have lost their basic humanity and think that they are the centre of their little delusional universe where the death of someone else is inconsequential compared to their own convenience..
but looking at these topics springing up where people rant about inconvenience rather than looking out to help their fellow man, i very du lan that i live in a place where people du lan over inconvenience instead of sparing a thought for the loss of life -

think about it..

1) Man slips and falls onto MRT track. Got knocked by a MRT and dies.
This man deserves our sympathy. This is classified as loss of innocent lives.
2) Man jumps onto MRT track to commit suicide. He was driven mad due to financial problems.
This man's act of suicide DO NOT deserve our sympathy. In fact, it should be condemned, especially when he has involved the public in it. The thing that deserves our sympathy is his situation (his financial problems that led to him comitting suicide).
It's good that you do feel a lot for human lives and you sympathise with people in a poor plight, but when you are looking at a problem, you have to mark a line some where... Facts cannot be mixed with feelings... -
so, i guess that's it.. someone has died, is to be reduced to a statistic and no emotions..
somewhere along the line, our humanity has died a little bit more..
but i guess that's me.. i choose to be human..
your choice.. to feel angered because you have been inconvenienced by someone else's despair..
i choose to feel sad for him... rather than anger at little delays..

lets assume we go back ten years. do you think that 10 years ago whoever committed suicide today would have thought he would end up killing himself? again the answer is no.
but then why did he end up killing himself?
it is cirscumtances that drive people to despair and sometimes to suicide. it is unfair to call them weaklings.
frankly what happened to him might happen to anyone of us. it is always easy to say 'i will not commit suicide'. you are saying it so surely because everything is going well for you now.
