it will never be "fair" in everyone's eyes no matter how factually and objectively done... it will be seen as "US influence" even if it was tried in the Hague...
Not so much about being fair. BUt the point to which he got hanged... this is what happened.
9/11 happened. US invades Afghanistan. Declares a crusade against Terrorism.
Bush accuses Iraq of having WMD and use that as a basis of invasion.
Invaded Iraq, found no WMD. Captured Saddam.
Claimed that Saddam is to be tried locally because his crimes are against his citizens (when other said this was because Hague does not have death sentence)
Basically how it got to this point was totally unrelated to the initial reason why US wants to invade Iraq.
US uprotted Shia power and placed Shiite ppl in power.
Now, which Shiite don't want him dead?
The judges that tried Saddam were US trained judges. Talk about fairness.
