NUS or NTU better?

Okie, helping one of my students to ask her question here
She is thinking of furthering her studies in business course in Singapore. She has been offered a place in NUS, and is asked to go for an interview for admission by NTU this coming Friday. She is not sure which one she should choose, because different people have told her different things about both universities.
So she wans to know whether NUS or NTU is better in terms of its environment, ranking, future career, etc. Would appreciate any comment and opinion from especially those who have taken a business course (esp accountancy/finance) in either university. Thanks

well nus has a better ranking.
but i would say NUS sucks. but dunno about ntu
but one thing i notice nus business the pple like to dress up and paint/powder themselves alot

well, the powdering and painting part holds true for business students in almost every uni that i have been to, even in my own one last time -

I've only seen NTU business course notes, so I can't comment much on which is better, but I'm biased towards NTU. lol
But if she really goes to NTU, better live somewhere close to NTU or better still, stay in NTU. Because NTU is really far. I nearly vomited while traveling to NTU.
Environment wise, good place, if you love the stars, that is. People there are quite friendly, but I can't say for all.
Ranking? Worse than NUS.
Future looks great for a business graduate. -

Looking at NTU course notes, I would say it's rather good. The students learn a lot of things besides accountancy/financial stuff. Some business stuffs are being learnt as well.
NTU hostel is not easy to get. Competition is very stiff. -

However, if you are thinking towards an accountancy degree, then no question for NTU. It has a strong, proven track record in that area of specialty.
In truth, why isn't SMU a choice? It is hyped up and over beyond reason by the government. This has potential, continual spillover effects in the private sector, both local and overseas. -

I know of one route if she's from JB...
Assuming she's taking the bus from JB to Woodlands... she will take a train from Woodlands to Jurong East, then transfer to the East West Line, towards Boon Lay. She will alight at Boon Lay station, then take bus no. 179.

make sure your student go to their open house this weekend and find out for herself.
i had to pyscho my cousin to do it as well and i'll most prob have to go with her.

yea she is from JB, altho from a very faraway region which is 2 hours away from the town area >< -

Luckily, from Jurong East to Boon Lay, only 3 stops. -

I don't think it's necessary to go Open House If you're just there to check on the "environment", I think it's not all that different
