hmm sucks in what way? its environment? lecturers? students?Originally posted by hisoka:well nus has a better ranking.
but i would say NUS sucks. but dunno about ntu![]()
but one thing i notice nus business the pple like to dress up and paint/powder themselves alot![]()

haha ic ic...so you mean for a business degree, NTU degree is better?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I've only seen NTU business course notes, so I can't comment much on which is better, but I'm biased towards NTU. lol
But if she really goes to NTU, better live somewhere close to NTU or better still, stay in NTU. Because NTU is really far. I nearly vomited while traveling to NTU.
Environment wise, good place, if you love the stars, that is. People there are quite friendly, but I can't say for all.
Ranking? Worse than NUS.
Future looks great for a business graduate.

which school is more recognized when it comes to a business degree? i tot NTU is more recognized for engineering courses?
i oso a bit more biased towards NUS actuallyOriginally posted by choco B:I biased.NUS better.
If she does well... as I've not seen NUS business course notes, so I can't comment. Neither do any of my family members graduated from NUS either.Originally posted by rainee:haha ic ic...so you mean for a business degree, NTU degree is better?
so need to ask her to go apply for hostel in NTU? easy to get or not?
she is attending the interview a day before her ielts exam. how difficult is it to travel to NTU? can take MRT? or need to change bus/train a few times that kind?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:If she does well... as I've not seen NUS business course notes, so I can't comment. Looking at NTU course notes, I would say it's rather good. The students learn a lot of things besides accountancy/financial stuff. Some business stuffs are being learnt as well.
NTU hostel is not easy to get. Competition is very stiff.
Travel route must ask other people, because I'm quite dumb on that.Originally posted by rainee:she is attending the interview a day before her ielts exam. how difficult is it to travel to NTU? can take MRT? or need to change bus/train a few times that kind?
I dunno, she seems to only be considering these two at the moment. I guess it is cos she has been offered a place in NUS? and looking into NTU because some of her seniors are there...Originally posted by pwnz0r:If it is just a general business course, then go for NUS. NUS brand name these days can go a long way and perhaps an even longer way in future.
However, if you are thinking towards an accountancy degree, then no question for NTU. It has a strong, proven track record in that area of specialty.
In truth, why isn't SMU a choice? It is hyped up and over beyond reason by the government. This has potential, continual spillover effects in the private sector, both local and overseas.
SMU to me is like a business school.Originally posted by pwnz0r:If it is just a general business course, then go for NUS. NUS brand name these days can go a long way and perhaps an even longer way in future.

whoa!Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Travel route must ask other people, because I'm quite dumb on that.
I know of one route if she's from JB...
Assuming she's taking the bus from JB to Woodlands... she will take a train from Woodlands to Jurong East, then transfer to the East West Line, towards Boon Lay. She will alight at Boon Lay station, then take bus no. 179.
ic ic...do you know when is the time? You mean both universities have it on this weekend?Originally posted by zodi:make sure your student go to their open house this weekend and find out for herself.
i had to pyscho my cousin to do it as well and i'll most prob have to go with her.![]()
Don't whoa first, somebody might know a shorter route. As I've said, I'm quite dumb when it comes to traveling routes. And I only know the route I posted.Originally posted by rainee:whoa!
yea she is from JB, altho from a very faraway region which is 2 hours away from the town area ><
maybe sunday?Originally posted by rainee:ic ic...do you know when is the time? You mean both universities have it on this weekend?
She has the IELTS test on Saturday, so I guess she won't be able to make it. That test will take almost the entire day
seems like they only have it on saturdayOriginally posted by hisoka:maybe sunday?
