this is the rule of SAF, makes u more disciplined.Originally posted by longhairisnotuntidy:Bloody pissed off with SAF. Why every ICT must cut hair until like goon du? Now hairstyle looks like a kid. Why can't they just give us the freedom to have a hairstyle we feel comfortable with? Very demoralising to think of my hair everyday until it grows long. How to train hard like that? We are neither secondary school kids nor regulars. We have our lives after the 1-2 weeks of stupid ICT. I feel like writing in to newspaper forums. Anyone thinks I should "feedback"?

HAHA!! IN fact I am more rebelious. It's kind of a counter-effect. This is the 21st century where u cannot force yr will on others.Originally posted by hiphop2009:this is the rule of SAF, makes u more disciplined.

personal hygiene? So the girls in the army also need to cut botak la. What crap. Long hair is neither untidy nor unhygenic. Pple in the past fight with long hair too. My definition of long hair are not those of shoulder length but rather one that is long enough to not look like a secondary school kid. How unconfortable can that get?Originally posted by Mospeada:it is for personal hygiene...
cos u will be sweating alot...shorter hair will help ur body to regulate the heat loss
and also for safety...tis safer to have shorter hair cos u will be required to handle some military equipment for the 1st time... and i believe u dun want any accident to occur, dun u
i got nothing to say...Originally posted by longhairisnotuntidy:personal hygiene? So the girls in the army also need to cut botak la. What crap. Long hair is neither untidy nor unhygenic. Singapore is really crap. As I grow older, I begin to understand all the criticism against our govt.
it might but then thats personal choice and the short period of feeling better doesn't justify the cutting of the hair jsut for the ICT otherwise all the females in the army better have as short hair.Originally posted by hiphop2009:haha...i dunnoe, this is wad dey say.
but having short hair really makes u feel much better when u sweat....hmm...
So must go to war in style? LOLOriginally posted by charlize:Bleached hair will stop you from firing a gun properly during war?
well considering that ICT is at most 8 weeks a year out of 52 weeks in civilian life, it would be bettter to ask if it is practical to mandate short hair for that small fraction which would impact heavily on the majorityOriginally posted by Ignatiaus:I also just came back from ICT
I actually prefer short hair. (Factor = Weather + Less Dandruff)
Long hair in army simply not practical when you think about it. I kena once in my first ICT when my hair was quite long. Wear helmet damn itchy! Wear beret also itchy. Jockey Cap won't fit coz of the hair.
Long hair in No.4 look like lan jiao peng.
I'm not saying we shouldn't have long hair in army but ask yourself. Practical?
you fucking Agua, they make people cut hair because it is the army and it is supposed to be uniform, if everyone have all sorts of hairstyles then how the fuck do you have discipline, it will be like a circus. moreover, if during war your head get hit by shrapnel, good luck because the medic wont bother to cut your long hair to sort out the mess.Originally posted by longhairisnotuntidy:Bloody pissed off with SAF.
