your science and math... They have standard answer...Originally posted by dbowie:Is it. I need help here because I intend to get in good JC. Which paper is easier to score?
Combined humanities I did scored A's throughout it schools but got a C's...Prehpas my teacher marked the paper too leniently?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Bio - understand concepts. Some need to be memorized, but those that doesn't need, make sure you understand the concepts for easy memorization.
And learn how to draw properly. Prepare a sharp pencil, preferably a non-mechanical one. Bring a compass if needed, but then I seldom bother.
Chem - Same thing. Actually, I never studied for Chem, it was a natural subject for me.
Physics - Memorize the definitions will do and learn to apply them. If can't, at the least memorize the formulas and understand them to apply.
A Maths - you need understanding and a lot of practise. Either one will not suffice. I understood, but I never practised, ended up with C6.
Combined humanities - I say just crap your way with facts. In schools, I scored As, in Os, I scored a C. I don't know what is wrong.

My teachers are strict with the marking... I guess it's just a matter of what they perceive as L1, L2, L3 or even L4 answers.Originally posted by soulwinner:Combined humanities I did scored A's throughout it schools but got a C's...Prehpas my teacher marked the paper too leniently?
Similar format, chances of you finding a same question is rare. Or at least, not in the papers that I did.Originally posted by dbowie:true.
btw does o's paper repeats 10yrs series question, or in a format similar to those in 10year series?
Rare. Mostly L1 to L4.Originally posted by dbowie:there is still L5![]()
in my time.. teacher will spot what will come out for us.Originally posted by dbowie:for SS that is. I am quite fcuked up with my SS.. probably because I dont know how to answer it. Does Olevel SS paper test you contextual knowledge??
The best is to study everything. Don't spot questions. While almost all the time the teachers will be right, there are quite a few occasions that they are wrong.Originally posted by nutpinko:in my time.. teacher will spot what will come out for us.
dont study all. no time.
pick all those u think will come out.
i bought this pocket handbook thingy for SS.. helps alot
