Flying airliners...is like driving a coach/school bus
I may not have idea...but this is the exact words my sec.school friend currently in RSAF says.Originally posted by Rock^Star:Interesting.
I take it that you have no idea what you are talking about because you haven't flown a plane before.
I haven't flown the fighters before but it is unlike driving Ferraris. There's much more adrenalin to it and much more demanding when you are going at supersonic speeds.Originally posted by SpecOps87:I may not have idea...but this is the exact words my sec.school friend currently in RSAF says.
apply first then both then go for their test firstOriginally posted by ahhaoz:which piloting career will u choose and why?
Its not an insult...if anything...I respect commercial pilots more then AF pilots. Why? In his/her hands there's 200-400 lives. A combat pilot on say an F16, has at most 2 lives on his hands, his and his WSO's. Unless its fully loaded with armament...thats a diff. storyOriginally posted by Rock^Star:I haven't flown the fighters before but it is unlike driving Ferraris. Flying commercial jets is not like driving a school bus. It's much much more than that. Please do not insult the professionalism of commercial pilots.
That is one possible route. There are many ex RSAF pilots who fly for Silkair, SIA, teach in Singapore Flying College (which trains SIA cadets), teach in Singapore Youth Flying Club. A handful are also currently teaching flying in Johor.Originally posted by concerned_man:Just wondering is it possible to first join RSAF for the flying experience, when the contract ends, then join SIA ?
cant agree more.Originally posted by zeny:apply first then both then go for their test first
