This point I must disagree. Sim Lim Square (SLS) is not a place for conmen. Speaking from personal experience because I do buy a lot of stuff from there. If you are talking about electronic consumer goods, I cannot be sure, but for computer components, I'm very confident this is not the case because every shop published some sort of a price list. That is why there's paper everywhere. They also display this price list in front of their shop & even publish on their hardwarezone website.
