Something To Know About Your Own Blood

  I found out more about blood types so thought of sharing with everyone since I doubt a lot of us know in details:

  while type AB+ is universal recipient, this only applies to emergencies, because the body will not reject type O or other blood types. however, this cant go for long term. the AB recipient will die.
  
  similarly, A+ can receive A- blood but not for a long time. the body have to produce the "+" antigen itself or receive A+ blood.
  
  Basic Requirements
  
  * Bring your Singapore NRIC (or passport if you are a foreigner)
  * Age : 16 to 60 years (16 & 17-year-old can donate with parental / guardian consent)
  * Weight : At least 45 kg (100 Ibs.) for both males and females
  * Health : Generally good
  * Well Being : Feeling well that day.
  * Haemoglobin level: at least 12.5 g/dl

  How to know which blood type do i belong to ar ?

  nowadays, they dont put blood grp in IC anymore liao... Coz, blood can be tested within minutes mah... So they take away the information

  Is it? oh i see. something new I learn again. It is weird that they take away the information away since it wastes time to test blood again.
