credit card offer and call, how??

  i got this phone call from dbs, saying they can save my time submitting income statement and application. Just ask me to sign on the application letter which they will send to my office. Waive 5 years annual fee.
  
  Is it good deal? will I be charged any hidden fee?
  
  Don't know want to take up or not. Please advise...

  they can tell me my address wo... unless dbs divulge my info to other companies... you are making me worry

  if someone followed you home, he/she will know ur address also.
  
  if it's someone close to you, sure maybe even know ur NRIC no.
  
  so wat kinda information did u divulge to the caller?
  
  actually wat u can do is to ask for his name, his contact number, his position, then call up DBS to check on it.

  u got POSB/DBS bank account?
  or u may oredi have other credit cards
  so they have ur details and credit records already....

  i just did that at UOB today
  NO NEED INCOME STATEMENT is the thing now...
  
  TS is asking whether he will kenna pay hidden costs
  
  i dun think he will be so obedient and give all his particulars over the phone when he can fill up the form himself

  Most likely caller is some student/temp worker.
  
  Bank just use them to call cold customers and hook using whatever means.

  1. issit an upgrade?
  2.call back to the call centre, and ask for the person who called you just now. trace back just to be sure.
  3. to be able to say your address is not breach of security. only personal details like NRIC numbers and date of birth, bankers are not allowed to disclose.
  4.y ask us? ask the person who called you if there is a hidden fee. hold that person responsible if u are treated otherwise. or ask for black and white infomation.

  5yrs waiver, not bad...
  just make sure u sign on the right document stamped with DBS etc...

  unless....u exisiting card holder...or else...likely need to submit income...u just oni need to fax it over...got 5 yrs annual fee waive de??i read reports on how con-man can get ur details when u throw away those telco bills,bank statements etc.

  As long as they waive my yearly payment i am all good. If not , i just cancel. Got many more banks that want me as customer. Its which that offers the best and most tantalizing offer for me that counts.
  
  I am a cheapo sometimes.. and also if the credit card looks nice and pretty i will apply.
