malays seems to be the most patrotic races in sg?

my friend told me that most malays supports PAP n most malays hang their flags during national days
in the past NDP were mostly attended by malays during the days of queueing of tickets as they can queue overnights for tickets
so are the malays most patrotic of all races in sg? -

sama sama la, it's the same for all races, my malay friend once told me that their families are quite big and widely connected, so, therefore, u can say there are more people.

No lah... patriotism can only shows when in times of trouble... and war.. i doubt all malays will defect to YOU-KNOW-WHO country in times of war. There are likely some who would stay too. there is a party which runs by mostly lighter color aliens which ctrls the big ISA department. The minority, the darker color aliens however do not ctrl much.
So how? Wayang or a similar term for wayang in alien language.

It is good to touch on this touchy subject. We live in a real world and must come to gripe with the reality of different races, cultures, religions, etc. If there is only one race in a country (homogeneous society), there will be no question on patrotism save for high treason. However, when there are several races and imbalance in a geo-political context, then sensitivity and loyalty issue can crop up.
SG is a tiny country with Chinese majority surrounded by much bigger countries with Malay/Muslim majority. So, to put it simply: the Chinese here feels threatened more than the Malays here. This, unfortunately, put the Malays in a difficult position where loyalty is concerned.
The same can be said of other countries where there are minorities (not just race but ethnicity). The minorities in China don't occupy high position in central government or state key apparatus. The same with Malaysia and Indonesia - there are no Chinese generals or Defence ministers!
Back to thread: I would say the Malays showed more kampung spirit and enthusiasm. I like to see more of them coming out and mixed around with others. The more they do, the less they become a 'separate' entity. -
Yes they are. I just touched on this issue today at the NDP with my malay friends.
And yes, lots of them yelled vulgarities at their counterparts from across the causeway during football matches too. -
They are more united then other races in singapore... just my opinion...

Nope... it is just tat different race shows patrotism differently... Depends on religion, culture and blah blah...
Chinese proverbs says : Heroes will only appear in the time of crisis...
Every1 is thinking on how to make more money when they have already alot of money liao... lol... Of coz, it will not be obvious to find those patrotic people in other race lah... But deep inside them, u will find the seed in them... And when situation comes, it will not lose to any other races...

If got saikang see who volunteer do...that one is a show of patriotism.
