  When I was in Beijing, I had a lunch with a bunch of vendors and we started to talk about the guys in China and how they are role model husband material and etc. I was told by several sources both in US (long time ago) and in China that educated China guys from the north really treat their women/wife well.
  These guys think Singapore women are missing out on the Chinese from the North because most of the guys in Singapore immigrated from the south parts of china and they are known as MCP and treats their women fairly lousy or do not know how to treat their women well. I was also informed that a leopard never change its spots and these men love Singapore women cause they are independent but they still believe that women needs to be loved and Southern men don't do that enough.
