Asia Business Directory listing is a scam, any victims?

  two pages one saying it's a letter for a listing for your company in size 12. to confirm listing chop and sign on second page.
  
  but second page mention 2years contract at $4250 per year in very small lettering in size 6. report to CASE but they only handle consumer not company. CASE mention i'm not the only victim, more complaints are coming every day. they claim to be similar to yellow pages giving listing but never mention prices clearly. while yellow pages are free listing.
  
  Meeting the MP to discuss the matter? anybody want to share opinion

  well it would help if u tell us where is this asia business directoy listed at? singapore? europe? america? ..
  
  and please keep all the application letters or whatever concern in a good condition. you'll need it when time comes.

  anybody? i know there's a few of you guys out there. share the experience to warn others. CASE told me theres a number of people who came forward to complain.

  then u make a complain to CASE as well, see what advise they give you? i believe this method was derived from Europe where similar methods was used to 'trick' business into signing the form and making them pay, unfortunately this company was based in Europe where it was subjected to strict consumer laws and business operators were able to protect themselves from such scams.

  case told me that they can do nothing much since they're ment for consumer not corprate. the told me to get a lawyer. i check with a friend of mine who's working for greenbook, he told me not to worry cuz it's not that easy for them since normally payment and money issue should not be printed in very small lettering. he told me to just to ignore. the thing is i've received a letter recently to make the cancellation fees otherwise pay the full ammount of 9000. it's just crazy. cancellation fee is at 800 but i'm paying them for just sitting and doing nothing beside faxing and sending letters and hopping people like me get cought. are there anybody out there sharing the same problem? any sollutions?

  just yesterday my friend formally from the greenbook called me and mention that even his neighbour was one of the victim. up until now about 100 reported by CASE. and 80 more had already made payment to the company. recently the same issue was brought out in the chinese channel. not sure which one. can anybody confirm this? please share

  there's so many way to make a living.. but some people just choose to cheat ppl.. really dun understand.... God give them hand and leg for some purpose right?

  there's the police station where u can u can file a report if u have enough reason to feel that u've been cheated.

  here , let me give u some examples of a similar scam and how companies based in asia and other parts of the world managed to avoid paying this scum bags.. take note that this company is based in europe which comes under the EU jurisdiction.. i dunno about your singapore side, but it sure does look hopeless even when you got 'Case' saying you have to get your own lawyer to fight this case...

  similar tricks as asia directory.. but this one only sends u one page and letters are also printed out in small fonts and deceives you into believing that when you are signing and chopping your company seal on it, you are actually getting freee listing but you end up forking out couple of thousand euro annually, and their website directory is a pain to navigate..

  Hmm.... someone I know who unknowingly signed the form got billed by them recently.... And I don't see that directory being circulated, other than online at such an obscure portal.
