I tried calling a fren of mine... but the tone was a tone indicating she is overseas. But i'm certain she's not, though i know she stays in woodlands. Any1 has this experience that when u r in woodlands and the operator switch to a malaysia operator?

Well this happen when sometimes in sembawang beach too as malaysia is just across the shore. My hp will something change from sg to malaysia operator. Experience this every reservist field exercise when located near northern Singapore. Walk near the coast, HPs will switch to malaysia network, move back few hundred meters, back to Singapore network. Happened till we remind ourself to switch off auto roaming, then it remain as Singapore network. Dun think SAF will reimbursed the roaming fees if they call you while on Malaysia network. Singapore telcos should strengthened our signals, it is paying long distance while never leave the country at all.

I had that problem when I was living in Woodlands before
In a corner of my room, if I bring my handphone there, it will switch to the Malaysian network -
switch to manual under network selection

Yea, I used to stay at RP hostel for quite sometime, and i need to check my cell's signal for singapore before i make calls.
