    • Dear sgForum members,

Two terrible incidents have taken places within the time span of 24 hours, one locally and the other abroad.

A fire wiped out three shops at Hougang Avenue 8 and killed two, a 26 year old man and his 27 year old sister.

Their parents have lost two of their children just like that, in the blink of an eye.

Another is a earthquake which struck in Sumatra on 12 Sept 2007. People there are now homeless and many are feared dead.

I hope members here would be able to come in and combine their condolences to pay tribute to these innocent victims of the two disasters.

Please - no flamers or silly comments.

These incidents have really put my day to a gloomy end and we should really consider ourselves lucky and I hope we can all enjoy our moments everyday - for which we do not know whether it is the last.

    • Sadly in the end they all become statistics only in the birth, death, and marriages index..

and all the important pple want to know is whether today got more births than death..

millions or thousands of people are born each day and die each day..
