Nice guys: Are they really nice?

Why do you think the term 'nice guy' is always labelled on guys that can't get dates easily, shunned by most people, poor & is most of the time ugly?
Why can't a handsome, rich or popular guy be a 'nice guy'? Why must they be always the 'bad guys'?
Don't you think we are being too shallow? Being labelled as ugly, poor, idiot = 'nice guys' is also shallow, get over it.
A nice person is one that is confident, well-mannered, approachable, having a great attitude & helpful. If you have them, you are a truly nice guy, if not you are just a half-assed slob pitying yourself & blaming the surroundings for your downfall...these are called LOSERS.
Ok, there are indeed ugly guys getting dates & being well-liked, but most ppl just brush them off as 'bad guys'..huh? Don't you think they are the real ppl pleaser?? (a.k.a nice) If not why would ppl be flocking to them?
Another point is because we emphasize too much on looks that's why we always get disappointed. We always delude ourselves that those good-looking ppl are always up to no good, yes, there are, but not all, if not those 'nice guys' (see the first sentence for reference) will have tons of chances already.
Sorry but...a whiny, ugly, poor or having a poor attitude is not a 'nice guy'. They are only using that term to feel better for themselves, but in reality, they are just plain deluding themselves & should get down to improve their situation instead of having a pity party. There should be a new term for those ppl...

yeah, you're right. we should all evaluate ourselves and improve our situations instead of mopping around and feeling self-pity.
just to re-enforce what you said. a wise man once told me, that he never respected girls who dated "bad boys" and having failed relationships one after another, he said they were stupid. they're terribly immature and superficial, and they deserve every hurt they got, because they asked for it.
its harsh, but yet kinda true.

and i disagree with that statement, to a certain extent, because there are exceptions i've seen or heard.

see, if your dad was a jerk, you'd date guys who are jerks too.
if your mom was cold and unfeeling and abandoned u when u were a child, chances are, u'll be dating a girl who treats you like shit and will leave u.
