just another asole... lots of them in this world....Originally posted by airgrinder:just came back from Observation lounge at mertius mandarin.
They have promoters today pushing for some branded chadonney red wine (me dunno how to appreciate reds, I just buy and drink) usual $159 today $89.
My group got 2 bottles. If u get it from the promoter (attractive females in a black dress), they'll open it for you and pour the first glass. They do top ups too. If u get it from the lounge waitress, they'll do exactly the same thing.
There's this table, a late 30s guy, who order 2 bottles from the waitress. After their table finished the wine, he refused to pay the bill, claiming that the promoter did not served him. And bcos of this, he wants the lounge to waive the 2 wine.
The supervisor came and try to negotiate the issue but the man plainly refused and claimed he is some big shot and he know some senior people in the hotel blab blab blab. Think he trying to impress the 2 gals that were with him.
The supervisor and the accursed promoter, whom the customer claimed was not doing her job properly, were visibly flustered, as everyone in the lounge can hear what's happening.
After sometime (20min?) he then made payment, but kept complaining abt the service and the unfairness he received.
Sigh... If one can't even behave and respect others, what's the use of even if he has a "Dr" in front of his surname?

ya, sadly. I feel the same way abt ang mos too. BUT, I do see unreasonable ang mos also once a while.Originally posted by nyox:i always believe in equal treatment. u treat me like crap, i'll treat you like crap too.
being in the sales /f&b line is definitely not an easy job, u got to face all sorts of people everyday. sure there are the friendly ones and they're usually the ones who make your day.
during my short stint as a promoter, i noticed that the friendlier ones are usually the ang mohs. singaporeans simply bo chap you when u ask if you can help. i even shouted at one customer who scolded me just becos the item he wanted was out of stock. tit for tat i'd say.
