How much do you think a 20+ guy should have in savings?

I wonder how much should a 20++ guy have in savings?
I was chatting with my friend the other day and he said it's not common for the average guy to save up till 10k before the age of 25.
Do you think it's possible? Like for a guy in NS or Uni? -

10k is average only leh.
some rich kids i know got like few hundred k in bank and carry debit card for that account everywhere. -
20++ is early 20 or 29 or 25?

it really depends on his allowance/income, especially those who work part time, weekends or during holidays. If you don't spend alot, you should have easily 5k+ if you started work @ 16 after O'levels doing part time.
And the nature of the job too, sales have commission etc etc, -
