Need O level for a jobs even u have a degree...

i Was applying for degree recently(in IT field)(computing),
And a call from Sim told mi abt the opening for application will be closing at 15 nov, so i told her that my adv dip is from Informatics and i only have N levels and Ntc-3,
She told mi that if this is the case i might not be able to skip to the advance year... and might have to take some test.. as all the requirement need aleast 2 O level.
And yesterday my cousin told mi that some govement company need O levels too even u have gd degree...
So my question is ... Do i need to go back to take o level?
I was thinking of contiune to contiune my degree next year.
By the way my dip and adv dip i score with aleast 5 As
i did take up engineer math in my adv dip too(pass with A) -
yeps .... some tech jobs in goverment linked companies require not just O'levels, but O' level pure science as well ..... -
wat about private company... eh they need also ma?

Yah i went to some interviews and they actually request to see my O Level certs. Lucky I got 5 credits.

Are advanced diplomas considered the same as degrees?
From what I was told, diplomas are second to degree hence some employers require a minimum degree qualification. -
no lah.....advanced diplomas are more like for private schools like MDIS, SIM etc.
these private schools typically offer a diploma cert (equivalent top 1st year poly) and an advanced diploma cert (equivalent to poly graduate).
if you go to private school study for diploma cert, it's useless since it's more like an introductory course and you don't get to learn anything other than theories and concepts. -

one issue is money...
2nd is time frame... 3year or more let...
sad lor.. maybe have to go some private school again to take my degree lor...

when come to degree or diploma it talk abt skill set that u will be learning, it have nothing with all those sci and etc....
english and math do play apart... ... but... but... it the rule right....

no, you don't. unless government sector.
i dun have O levels, but have a private diploma from SmA (http://www.sma.edu.sg/ )
So far i just show my dip results, (someone i failed my last paper now waiting 2 retake) they wun ask and dun care as long as you have yr dip.

not necessary that anyone who got dip or degree has an O cert...
like TS... TS got N-cert.. but he/she wanna upgrade, so TS did not stop at N lvl only... -
