Look, we don't even have subjects dealing with Middle East/African Studies. Those are the key areas of focus in the next 10-30 years, and we're quite unprepared.
No offence but liberal arts is not pragmatic in Singapore considering that most grads just want to find a job and be done with it all. There is not a huge market for diplomats, politicians or university lecturers as well. Adding it to the syllabus for an all rounded cause yes but having a specific degree in liberal arts ....think of the let's say 200 grads with liberal arts degree competing for 10 jobs in that area - just no market in Singapore.
