    • hi all,

i check my POSB bank account book and there's this entry which says "CSL" right besides the date, then in the Withdrawal column, it writes $4103.61.

      so, it looks something like:

      code:
                              Date Deposit Withdrawal
      24 04 07 CSL 4103.61

from what i know, CSL is a code that means "Consolidated" in the POSB bank account book.

my question is : why does CSL appear?! i notice that it appears only on certain months and sometimes, the interval between one CSL and another us 1 year in between (like 4 April 05 and 4 April 06)!
sometimes, the interval is only 3 months.

in the above case, does it mean that i've withdrawn a total of $4103.61 since my previous CSL entry?

i'm very confused and hope someone can explain.
serious pls, and nobody hacked into my bank account..

    • u seldom update ur bank book rite?

      if i m not wrong...
normally those that seldom / rarely update bankbook, the bank will mail bank statement to u. then that total amt withdrawed will jz be printed in the bankbook as a consolidated amt.

    • when you didnt update your passbook for a long time, they will consolidate all your withdrawals and deposits amount and put it under a single amount. and yah, the $4K plus is the total amount for money withdrawn for the long period you didnt update your passbook.

they got send you a letter of the consolidated withdrawals and deposits boh? might be long time ago.

    • When you do not up date your bank book for sometime, it will consolidate the the entries.
Also if you have a large number of transactions in a short period of time, the bank might mail you the details of the transactions, and consolidate the entries in the pass book.

If i'm not wrong, CSL appears when u got more than 40 transactions not updated in a mth.. then they'll consolidate it n send u the statement.
