In the same form, I did not opt for Moneyline.
They called me to ask if I want the Moneyline. I told them no.
In the end, they coninue to send me Moneyline statements for past 3 mths. I have called their Hotline repeatedly and they have to send me some forms which I need to sign to cancel it.
(Note: I have to cancel something that I did not even apply for.)
I have sent in the forms on 2 different occasions, and they still sent me Moneyline statements.
Is MAS or CASE the right place to complain against the bank at the way they get their customers??
No use trying to complain to MAS because government also goes into banking and MAS will now protect its own government banks their own banks.
All that the banks need to do nowadays is to call a potential customers whether he wants to buy a certain service or insurance or credit line that if you say yes that will be enough to form a contract even if the details were not yet agreed to by you.
I was caught for saying yes to a tele-marketer to a insurance policy which was not fair to me because of exclusion clauses etc which were totally useless to me but its premiums were straightaway deducted from by credit card account until one day I discovered it three years later when quite a sum has been deducted from me.
I could not reject according to the telemarketer quoting some laws so I had to bear with such a policy which I do not need. When I complained to MAS there was no reply.
