Hey, don't take my word for it - one-niner has also seen for himself how TAG service centres turn watches into scrap metal. TAGs are fine if you're happy with what you can pick up at Sungei Road, but if you're looking for a proper watch, they're a bad joke.
If names accurately reflected the nature of the product, TAG would become POS. If you're going to spend something in the low thousands for a watch, Oris is the way to go.
To be frank, i am rather pissed at their servicing standards and quality.Totally far out and lousy. Perhaps the type of service does mirror the value. I always felt buying a TAG were as good as paying the endorsements. Kimi Räikkönen ,Lewis Hamliton,Maria Sharapova, Zhang Zi Yi, Tiger Woods, Uma Thurman so on and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on...
But of course there are good watches from TAG, the Monaco,Monza,Carrera Series. And of course if you want, you can go for their Calibre 36 watches which is a Zenith El Primero base movement within.
Best part abt their service center. They keep the watches in drawers near the service desk.
I ain't very convinced how secure is that option. I feedback to their manager. He mentioned that was their practice and it have been secure and not broken in.
