Tips for ppl entering ITE

U can try but i won't gurantee that it works. But this is wat i observed from my fren.
Number 1 rule: First impression.
Basically don come into the school with dyed hair. FOr guys try to ahve a nice and neat haircut, not too long. FOr girls try not to dye your hair. Anyway it doesn't really matter for girls. GIve your class advisor aka form teacher a good impression of u and it will helps u to getting a 4 pt GPA.
Number 2 rule: Your attendence.
Rules are not the same as secondary anymore! Your attendence does contribute to your 4 pt GPA. Try to maintain a 100 percent attendence, if not above 95 percent. Don skip classes or u will give teachers a bad impression of u.
Number 3 rule: Mix with the right friends!
Try not to mix with friends that skip classes, typical ah beng and bad results.
It's best advised to hang out with nerds and girls. U shld know girls are better in studies and won't get off track easily.
Number 4 rule: The art of bootlicking.
I won't reckon this but it does works. Not asking u to buy your teacher dinner or drinks, but u can maintain a good relationship with your teachers. Everytime u go into the class, greet them. Always ask them questions be it necessary or not. Always talk with them. Always sit at the front, do not sit behind and chit chat with others.
Number 5 rule: Don't mess with the section heads.
Most ppl shouldn't have this prob unless they have dyed hair, long hair, creating trouble with teachers or students. Messed with the section heads and your name will b blacklist. And chances are u won't go poly.
Number 6 rule: The art of cheating.
Find your ways and means to cheat. U don need me to teach u right? Of course don get caught by teacher or your friends.
Number 7 rule: Get a CCA, do your CIP!
CCA does helps in your GPA. Trust me. DOn be lazy. CIP are necessary.
Number 8 rule: Be proud that u are in ITE.
There will always b ppl who look down on ITE students. BUt u don have to b angry, jus b proud that u are ITE student. And tell yourself that one day, u will succeed.
And lastly
Do the above steps and most likely u are a 4 pointer. But of course u must study too! I'm from ITE and graduating. I'm not a 4 pointer. I don give good impression, i don bootlick, i don have a CCA or do CIP, i messed with section heads, i don mix with correct friends and my attendence sux.
I don want anyone to follow my footsteps thats why i am writing this to help those ppl who are entering ITE. This is wat i observed frm my classmates and now they are a 4 pointer. U see, ITE is really a diff place from your secondary sch days. Anyway best of luck to u all! -

in terms of excel.. relaly have to depend on yourself. If u don know anything jus ask, be it your friends or your teacher. most impt don get off track and mix with right friends. If can pls enter ITE Simei. It's far but its worth it. And the courses pls choose wat u are interst and good at. -

Btw, try not to be late as latecomers are to be stated as "0"... You can have only 15 minutes allowance (after the lesson has started) to get ur way into the class. After 15 minutes, hahaha, ur attendence can say bye bye liao. -

yea i got 100% attendance got cca,do cip but still not 4pointer why and i got listen to class,got good relationship with others.Because,I just can't concentrate to self study and sometime is group work teamwork also one lo. -

if doing teamwork, u just have to do the least things and let ur fren do the work if u dun feel like concentrating on it....

i only follow number 1 rule.
back then i had record being absence for 10 times every sem (more than 10 times bar from exam), so number 2 out!
most of my friends r problem kids n we always skip class to go bowling, play basketball n go underground for illegal betting of those racing horse arcade. no.3 out!
no.4 is more like TOs trying to help me cos they see alot of trouble within me. i get along wif most of TOs but neither did i try to bootlick.
no.5 is same as no.4
i rather failed my exam than going around cheating in class. cos my pride n integrity nvr allow me to do so. so no.6 OUT!
cca BORING~!!! got time i rather stay at home play video games or go illegal betting wif friends.
but i agree wif TS dat cca like being student leaders can get u into advantage of getting COM.
it's not dat i was ashamed being an ite student, but society tend to look down on us. even ite students r not helping themselves too. but no.8 if u follow closely, u will achieve success n make everyone eat their words. -

hmm. i don't suggest you cheat la. try to learn as much as possible, because if u go poly, you will need those skills also.
if u cheat and go into poly with empty knowledge, you will have to cheat again in poly, then next time you will suffer -

i believe rule 8 is very important to all ite students. take pride in urself n u will be high-flyer. -

Rule 9: Don't ever have the mindset that "i am dumb, thats why i am in ITE".
Rule 10: Be hardworking. It really pays off to be hardworking
