how to cheer my friend up?

  yesterday my friend was involved in a car accident. he bang into another car. the other party pushed all the blame to him. he is feeling depressed although his parents dun blame him
  
  how to cheer him up?

  the accident is roughly like this
  
  my friend was travelling along upper serangoon towards city and the light is green. the other cars at the opposite direction are queuing up to turn right or make a u turn. on seeing my friend's car approaching the junction, the cars stopped for my friend's car to pass. so my friend thought it was safe to proceed. then suddenly one lancer make a u turn. my friend braked hard but too late. the driver of the lancer kept blaming my friend for the accident

  In an accident the thing to do is to always say, "i am innocent and its all your fault!" Why? In order to claim insurance lah

  i don't understand the situation..
  but is your friend a new driver?
  under probation?
  did the other guy call police?
  if the guy did, your friend can prepare to lose his license already..

  Visiting is a very good form of moral support to him...Meanwhile encourage him to recover first...other matters especially damages of the vehicles and all...it would be much better if he has a witness with him...if not its hard to judge who's the culprit of the whole incident...

  my friend was a newbie driver. the driver of the lancer was a 80 year old ahpek, and he didnt call the police
  
  i was in the car along with few other friends. all of us saw the light was still green. but the driver lancer claimed he saw the green arrow thats why he turn. i think he must have seen wrongly. and the other cars who was waiting to make a turn did not move except the lancer
