Is this real?
http://www.singeo.com.sg/?p=86The debate about the causes of global warming goes on, but the facts are that around the world temperatures are rising and with them so are sea levels. There are various projections available on future sea levels. The recent report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concluded that sea levels will rise by between 28cm and 43cm by the end of the century. Other projections are higher and there are estimates that sea levels could rise by
6m if the Greenland ice cap melts (this would take several centuries). To see the effect of a 1m rise in sea levels on Singapore you can download this kmz file and view it in Google Earth. There are various place-markers for locations in Singapore, along with some for other world locations. Looks like Sentosa and Changi airport would both be at serious risk.

This screenshot from Google Earth shows Sentosa and the Marina Bay area, the blue area represents the new coastline
after a 1m rise in sea levels. I suggest you set your air-conditioning a little warmer, unless you want to see Beach Road back on the beach again.
