I have been working for a company for about a month now.
I have been close with co-worker X. She entered the company the same day with me.
Everything was fine and i really like her.
But something happened which made me question if I should be caution of her in terms of office politics

We were sorting out the documents with a Senior Z.
When one of the documents was misplaced,
Senior Z assumed it was me who misplaced it since I was standing the nearest to the documents shelf at that point.
I know it wasn't me because that day the documents were only about 2-3,
so I remembered which r those I filed.
I told Senior Z that it wasnt me and she 'joking' saying "Liar".
When I asked my co-worker X did she handle the misplaced document,
Senior Z interrupted 'joking' saying 'you always bully her'.
To my surprise, my co-worker X replied ' Yeah Lor, Dao Yan ( Disliked)'

1st of all, I know I did not bully my co-worker AT ALL.
I even helped her when she couldn't finished her workload.
I also know that just because I alway helped her, doesnt mean I can treat her like she own me anything and I didn;t treat her that way. Which is why it is kinda SHOCK when she replied that.

Here are some of the conclusions I have come up with (on my own and with some of my friends)
1. Since she is a newbie, she has to agree with whatever the Senior says. (Boot licking)
2. The truth - She really doesn't like me. ( I have to start be careful of her )
3. I am being sensetive ( well, I am a woman )

Should I tell her how I feel about this incident? (my friends said don't cos we don know each other well n she may turns her back on me one day and use this incident against me. Saying I m a petty person who can't take a joke)

So, tell me what are your conclusion of this matter n if possible, some solutions...

back to the point , this kind of thing is very common in work

people pass bad remark you left ear in right year out lor , if not how are you going to survive in the society

hahahahaha... if i can kill ppl I don like or just becos they backstab me, I m sure there will not b a single person on earth now. Since everyone has people or person they don like. What I mean careful is not to talk about my futures plan (maybe if planning to quit, striking for a promotion) or how I feel about other seniors. I hav not bad mouth anyone to her, not that I want or hav anything negative to say. THANK GOD!

No doubt you hv to be careful of your so called co worker, a co worker is a co worker, not a fren ya, you know each other out of work concern nothing more, nothing less. Instead you should be worry of the Seniors, they are good pusher of repsonsibilities when things goes wrong, they talk to the boss, not you, so in a sense, whatever they talk about you, u dunno. At time, we younger one are just placed there to be sacrifice when the time come.

So becareful of Aunties and Uncles ya, especially those middle management, you too clever, they worry they loose they job, you too stupid, they take you in as sacrification when time come, you too hardworking, they shake legs, you too lazy, they scold you and prove their seniority at work.

Be cool but alert, work smart and not hard ya.
There is only one ladder up, and everyone is rashing for it, but sometime on the top of the ladder is nothing but more work. And the higher you climbed make sure you are able to stay there, if not, the heavier you fall.

There is a life outside office. If u like the work there, just enjoy it. If not, take it as a pay cheque job that u have to endure so that u can do thing u like later. Life are stressful without having to waste your time over thinking on small issue face daily at work.

erm, it was not a serious situation and i think you're too uptight about what happened.
