Cause i'm in higher nitec now and having 4 gpa, i was really hoping to go jc, but most of my friend say i can onli proceed to poly.hey u now in ITE u want go JC... its downgrading u knoe??
ITE is tertiary education... JC is still secondary education... u can do more things with a NITEC cert then an A Level cert dude...
if u still want go JC... then u must start factoring
in the UNI route liaoz after JC...

not exactly.
ITE still enjoy student concession like JC students u noe?
ITE student cant go jc, nt because of discrimination or wad, but in a way, wad u learn in ITE u cant apply in JC, coz JC stuff too theory, and dats why as said, a NITEC cert is better den a A level cert
go poly, den u can go uni from poly. A diploma in poly will get u a decent salary, while A level grads (who dun go to uni) only earn no more den an O level student.
It is not no way dat u cant go into JC if u are in ITE, u have to do your O levels first, den u can get into JC, den Uni (JC to Uni IS A MUST). Otherwise, just a A level cert alone is useless.

wad u learn in ITE, is nt applicable to JC. if u noe wad pple learn in ITE, and wad people learn in JC, den u will noe wad i am talking. and vice versa.

i give u one example,
you guys in ITE learn about Op-amp and electrical circuit stuff (example, superposition) and learn how to patch a ciricuit right?
In JC, a simliar subject (physics) nt much emphasis is placed on op-amp and all they learn is all the theory on superposition, without really teaching dem how to patch a circuit which is real life based.
so, MOE has a reason why there is no intake from ITE to JC.
and JC isnt any superior or better den ITE.

Now days the world is looking at more towards people who are technically skilled hands on rather than those who just hold a pen and sit at the desk and write away.
ITE may have a bad background in the yesteryears but if you have a cert from such them, you can go a long way in life and achieve bigger better things. You go to poly and then to NTU or NUS and graduate, and then after that look at ur salary, surely much higher than an A level student who came from JC and then to NUS.
As i said, people pay higher to those with hands on technically skilled rather than pen and paper people who sit at desks all day long.
