No... am not like that!
I go to mingle, I go to maintain familial relations... of course I go to eat, since one of my aunts is a terrific cook and she never forgets to cook vegetarian food (which I like!).
Besides... don't waste the opportunity to network. :P It's so much easier to find a gui4 ren2 within the family (if it's big) than to go out there and ask around among your not-so-close friends and business associates.

you are right no doubt about it. but i've got relatives, who don't give a damn if you're their nephew, they just give you scolding in front of everyone in the company. and always say things like, if things aren't gonna improve i'm gonna talk to your parents about your behaviour. "honestly i hate these kinda situations." -

during hari raya kids look forward to collecting ang bao.......
i know its inevitable for a human to get tempted by free money.....
but i just hate the idea of going to see a relative just for the sake of the money rather than the sake of getting together......
