I read one of the acticles in TODAY, it said on the giving seats to the needy and elderly. It also mention on the courtesy of the Singaporeans on board of the MRT and Buses.
I am somehow wondering if the courtesy of Singaporeans havnt been improving since the past 10 years. I totally disapprove on the acticle saying that Singaporeans will sometimes pretend not to see pregnant women and carry on seating on their seat instead of giving up their seats.
I have a pregnant wife, she has no difficulty on getting seats in a crowded train.
I just like to get some sensing on the ground to check if u met with such situation, Will you gif up your seat?
I definitely stand up without a second thoughts.
depend lah, if i pregnant or really tire, how to give seat to people?
what can u do if some idiots (who only care about money) bent on increasing population to 6.5 million when clearly the infrastructure cannot support that humber....
the resulting effects are the suffering of the poor and disadvantaged

Yes I agree with you. The only few idiots remaining are the ones who keep complaining to ST. These people don't understand that black sheeps exist around the world.
But there's still some ugly sides, like S'poreans not moving to the rear of the bus. This one is an ongoing problem.
I tink my question very simple one..
Your first thoughts will do, will u give up ur seat to someone that need it more?
Depends on how far the pregant lady is away from my current seat.
i never give seat to elderly. i always see them running into trains/buses to look for seats. they're very fit, actually.
i only give seat to pregnant lady. too many times cannot count already. cannot stand it the rest do nothing. she far away also i gesture to her. catch her attention.
The stability fabric of a nation exists entirely in the mindsets of its citizens.
i give to pregnant women, and those elderly (not all.. some elderly seem fitter than me!) ![]()

i also notice some of the elderly really very fit, but if they really in need of seats, i will juz give them.
You know what ?
I won't give up my precious seat to the columnist's wife.
depends on the situation

even when ppl poke u, pull your bag, tap your shoulder?
apparently, even in such a situation, some ppl can still "sleep" thru it....

wow your thinking is so diverse. singapore education system has done you well! -thumbs up-![]()
I will give actually...but the pregnant lady/ is near to me.
I don't want my seat to get stolen by other faggots...and in the end the pregnant lady
and me no seat!
I will give up. And I wont sit on the green seats unless the bus aint crowded...usually i'll go to the back.
Speaking of which, I realise a lot of people do not like to move to the back despite the squeeze up in the front, and no one likes to tell the one beside him to move in. I did that once, and the person just showed me the way in (he didn't move) and along the ride this same guy just kept standing there!!! The rear could fit at least 3 more people, but you wonder why he ain't going towards the back when he does not stop at the next few bus stops.
Oh wells...
