I have colleagues doing IT sales, 2 years older than me (turning 24 this yr) and getting approx 4k or more a month.
while i'm only getting half of her monthly salary here. so my qns is ... Is 2k a month for a diploma grad with say 1 yr of going into a FT job too little ?
feels like gradually losing out to others leh ...![]()
wow, to me, 4k or more per mth for dip holders is not bad already
even higher than some degree holders.
he doing sales, might be cause the commission is high
sales person hav very dynamic pay de.
the high volume of hard work you put in = the amount of money you can put in your pocket end of the month.

Then you still ask!
Like Tammy said, IT really eat shit 1, almost every foreign student in sg doing IT or Engin and you know about the fascination with anything made out of singapore....
not exactly ba .. IT sales person does not have to be very technically-inclined. at the end of the day they can engage the help from pre sales consultants and IT engineers.
so they can just focus on closing deals and meeting monthly quotas.

i think Agenda may not be getting my point. at the start of the thread, was only asking roughly how much a dip grad of my age is earning nowadays ...
i know a couple of sales managers (in their early 40s) who got only primary school education, yet bring back monthly salary of at least $4k, owns at least one condo and drives 2.4L vehicle ![]()
2k seems like the standard pay for a poly grad. 4k is quite a lot.

Yeah la.. So many people taking Business dip/degree. So common.
IT dip is actually quite a useful diploma if you know how to make use of it. Same goes for every other diploma.
You can get a very 'good' diploma but at the end of it, if you don't even know where you are heading, you will still think that the diploma is useless.
I think 2K should be the standard market salary, depends on what kind of job.

Sales is a total different story... it is because of commission.
Like my friends who are barely O's and ITE... they are learning 4~10k a month...![]()
2k is the minimum. Everything outside so expensive......price increase. A plate of rice cost more now.![]()
