    • anyone of u affected by it? I am, and my conditions are getting worse. at work or outside is ok, but once i am home its worse. Every sufferer has different effects but more or less the same .

      For me, i :

hand n leg washing: wash already still think ar did i wash o not and then run back to wash (sometimes more than twice)

off shower ,off tap, flush toilet: even though i know all off le, i keep staring at them and then keep u-turning to check again

house main door & gate: i will keep turning the knobs to check if really lock already. more than 8 times. sometimes, i go downstairs le but still run upstairs to check again

numbers: when storing tel numbers or counting things or writing of numerals i will non stop count

    • At least you are aware you have it

      Have you seeked medical help?

I know someone who has OCD but she denies it so -_-"

After going to the toliet, she can wash her hands for half hour and she tells us she takes almost 3 hrs to finish showering -_-"

    • happens to me.

when i lock the door i have to check it at least 5-10 times. before i sleep i have to check many times that my handphone is next to my bed. i also spend a lot of time arranging the speakers so they are evenly spaced but they never seem to be. and i suffer most of the symptoms you mentioned icon_lol.gif. it doesnt affect my life drastically... though it becomes a pain when i'm doing art since i'll am obsessed with positioning my lines.

glad to hear someone who shares this 'problem'.

    • i think i mild OCD ba, which i think is harmless.. it is more of habits then  having any association with mental disorder.. Stabborn behaviour sometimes mistakenly for this mental problem.

    • I have OCD too. Sometimes when I'm walking out on the streets, I will try to avoid certain spots on the ground (cracks, dark stains, etc). More often than not, I would feel uncomfortable that i'm not walking the right 'way' and would back track again until I got it right.

I have really bad intrusive thoughts too, but I don't wish to elaborate on that.

oh dear, yr situation seems worse.....hope u get betterwink.png..

btw, another thing i read from the wikipedia article that applies to me 100%:

Symptoms:Often, the brain challenges the person to a challenge that you feel you will die if you do not do it correctly.

i often give myself silly challenges, exp:if i dun finish doing something before the phone rings i will die  or if my colleague starts talking before i do i will die etc etc
